Hotels often have the biggest pools, and sometimes an indoor pool in the spa as well. In Rome, heated pools are mostly hidden away in basement spas and the grand hotels on the hills. Here are the 12 hotels I've selected in Rome, all rated at least 8/10; I particularly recommend Lunetta Hotel & Spa, A.Roma Lifestyle Hotel and Trilussa Palace Hotel Congress & Spa.

The pool. Turkish-style basement spa, in the foundations of the ancient Theatre of Pompey, with hydromassage mineral-water pools.
TripAdvisor includes it among Rome's hotels with a heated pool. The Oyster guide describes a vast underground spa with mineral whirlpools, without giving their temperature.
Guide's tip. These are relaxation pools, not a pool for swimming lengths: ask about the spa's hours when you arrive.
The pool. Indoor pool open year-round and advertised as heated, accessible for an extra charge, plus a seasonal outdoor pool with a bar.

A journalist from The Week who stayed at the hotel describes a heated 20-metre pool in an underground spa. The rating is still based on only a few guest reviews.
Guide's tip. It's one of the few proper lap pools in central Rome: book early, as the hotel is small and in high demand.

TripAdvisor lists the hotel among Rome's hotels with a heated pool (4.5/5, 7,680 reviews). On Kayak the pool category scores 9/10, but none of the visible reviews mention the temperature.
Guide's tip. The hotel is a long way from the historic centre: rely on the shuttle or a taxi. For a warm swim out of season, aim for the spa's indoor pool.

Yes at A.Roma Lifestyle Hotel: the pool is advertised as heated all year round. Lunetta Hotel & Spa, Bvlgari Hotel Roma and Palazzo Montemartini Rome, A Radisson Collection Hotel have an indoor pool, sheltered from the wind. Either way, ask for the heating dates before you book.
None of the places selected in Rome gives a precise temperature. Ask the property before booking, especially out of season.
Yes: Palazzo Montemartini Rome, A Radisson Collection Hotel and Hotel de Russie, a Rocco Forte Hotel also have a hot tub in addition to the heated pool.
The word "heated" on a booking page isn't enough. Every place must have a rating of at least 8/10 (or 4/5) and carries one of these four levels.
