The Luberon massif, a regional nature park, separates the Apt valley from the Durance valley. Its hilltop villages, Gordes, Bonnieux, Ménerbes or Lourmarin, are surrounded by farmhouses and country houses where the pool is part of the stay. Far from the sea, this is where you swim, hence the appeal of heated water in spring and late in the season. You'll find hotels with spas, B&Bs and many houses to rent. I've selected 23 places, all rated at least 8/10; the top-rated is Bastide avec piscine chauffée et vue sur le Luberon (4.99/5).
Each city has its own selection, with a page for each type of accommodation.
