Hotel with a heated pool in Valencia

With a hotel there's no need to ask for the heating or look after the pool: you just go down for a swim. In Valencia, you choose between the beach, on the Cabanyal side, and the modern districts near the City of Arts and Sciences. Here are the 8 hotels I've selected in Valencia, all rated at least 8/10; I particularly recommend Sercotel Sorolla Palace, NH Valencia Center and Hotel Primus Valencia.

The pool. Small heated outdoor pool on the roof terrace. The Oyster guide says it's open year-round; Star Service describes it as heated.

Star Service describes a small heated pool surrounded by a well-designed roof terrace, often in the shade. Guests find the pool small but fine for a dip between sightseeing; two of them found it closed for repairs during their stay.

Guide's tip. Ask the hotel whether the pool will be open on your dates: closures for works have been reported.

Fancy hot water? The hot tubs

These places don't have a confirmed heated pool, but they do have a hot tub: the water is hot all year round. A good way to relax in the warm.

The hot tub. No proper pool: a small warm-water spa pool with jets, plus a sauna and hammam.

One guest regretted the lack of a proper pool and compared it to a large jacuzzi; others found the hot tub, sauna and hammam clean and enjoyed the spa.

Guide's tip. Ideal for warming up after a day's sightseeing, not for swimming.
