The pool. Covered pool mentioned by travellers.
One traveller mentions the covered pool but finds the area a little dated. Nothing on the temperature.
Guide's tip. Get confirmation that the covered pool is heated and open on your dates.
Chianti stretches between Florence and Siena: vineyards, castles and small towns such as Radda and Gaiole. Evenings are cool in spring and autumn, and several estates close for the winter. The selection brings together castles and palazzi turned hotels, with an indoor pool or an outdoor heated pool in summer. I've selected 8 places, all rated at least 8/10; the top-rated is Hotel Le Fontanelle (4.8/5).
Each city has its own selection, with a page for each type of accommodation.
Places are ranked from highest to lowest rated. The yellow bubble shows the advertised water temperature, when it's known.

The pool. Indoor pool, plus an outdoor pool with sun loungers.
I haven't yet found guest reviews that mention the water temperature.
Guide's tip. The hotel closes in winter (from 2 November 2025 to 8 April 2026 last season): check the opening dates.
The pool. Indoor pool and hot tub in the old vaulted brick cellar. No outdoor pool on site.
The hot tub. Hot tub in the vaulted cellar.
The Oyster guide finds the cellar pool full of character, without saying whether the water is heated.
Guide's tip. No outdoor pool: if you want to sunbathe by the water, choose somewhere else.
The pool. Climate-controlled covered pool at the spa, seasonal outdoor pool and hot tub.
The hot tub. Hot tub at the spa.
One traveller (April 2026) liked the heated pool; another found the outdoor pool out of service and the hot tub small.
Guide's tip. The spa circuit costs extra (€30 per person according to Logitravel): ask whether it includes the covered pool.
The pool. Heated indoor pool at the spa, in addition to the pool in the grounds.
One traveller mentions the heated indoor pool; another (Expedia) enjoyed the grounds and the pool.
Guide's tip. Figline is on the edge of Chianti, on the Valdarno side: allow for the drive to the wine villages.
The pool. Small indoor pool at the spa (four people at a time); the outdoor pool is at another of the owners' properties, a few kilometres away.
Travellers point out that the indoor pool only takes four people and that the outdoor pool is a 5–10 minute drive away.
Guide's tip. Book your indoor pool slot as soon as you arrive.
The pool. Heated 25 m outdoor pool, open in summer; heated vitality pool in the spa's thermal suites.
I haven't yet found guest reviews that mention the water temperature.
Guide's tip. The big pool only opens in summer: out of season, rely on the spa pool.
The pool. Heated covered pool.
One traveller mentions the heated covered pool.
Guide's tip. Rating right on the threshold: read the recent reviews before booking.
These places don't have a confirmed heated pool, but they do have a hot tub: the water is hot all year round. A good way to relax in the warm.
These places were suggested to us directly by their owners. The heated pool is declared by them; they don't yet have enough guest reviews to join the selection.
In my selection, the top-rated is Hotel Le Fontanelle (Hotel), with 4.8/5 (607 reviews · TripAdvisor). Next come Castello di Spaltenna (4.7/5) and Palazzo Leopoldo Dimora Storica & Spa (4.5/5).
None of the places selected in Chianti clearly advertises a pool heated all year round. At COMO Castello Del Nero, heating is seasonal (heated in summer). Hotel Le Fontanelle, Castello di Spaltenna and Palazzo Leopoldo Dimora Storica & Spa have an indoor pool, sheltered from the wind. Either way, ask for the heating dates before you book.
None of the places selected in Chianti gives a precise temperature. Ask the property before booking, especially out of season.
Yes: Palazzo Leopoldo Dimora Storica & Spa and Villa I Barronci Resort & Spa also have a hot tub in addition to the heated pool.
The word "heated" on a booking page isn't enough. Every place must have a rating of at least 8/10 (or 4/5) and carries one of these four levels.
Guests mention the heated water in their reviews, with the season when they say so.
A journalist or guide who stayed there describes the heated pool.
The hotel or the platform says so, but I haven't yet found a review that confirms it.
Heating isn't specified, but the water is sheltered from the wind and cold air. Ask for the temperature before you book.
I left these out because guests report water colder than advertised, or because no heating or indoor pool is mentioned.
