On Gran Canaria, almost everything happens in the south, from Maspalomas to Mogán, with an escape to Agaete in the north-west. Here are the 16 hotels I've selected on Gran Canaria, all rated at least 8/10; I particularly recommend Seaside Palm Beach, Gloria Palace Royal Hotel & Spa and Bull Escorial & Spa.

In my selection, the top-rated is Seaside Palm Beach (Hotel), with 4.5/5 (2,288 reviews · TripAdvisor (via Holiday Hypermarket)). Next come Gloria Palace Royal Hotel & Spa (8.9/10) and Bull Escorial & Spa (8.9/10).
Yes at Seaside Grand Hotel Residencia and Bull Eugenia Victoria & Spa: the pool is advertised as heated all year round. At Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa, Servatur Casablanca Suites & Spa – Adults Only and Bull Boutique Casas Carmen, heating is seasonal (heated in winter). Gloria Palace Amadores Thalasso & Hotel and Hotel Puerto de las Nieves have an indoor pool, sheltered from the wind. Either way, ask for the heating dates before you book.
None of the places selected on Gran Canaria gives a precise temperature. Ask the property before booking, especially out of season.

The word "heated" on a booking page isn't enough. Every place must have a rating of at least 8/10 (or 4/5) and carries one of these four levels.
